From Le Meridien in Dakar, Senegal

Well, let's see...I'm sitting in front of large laptop, and hotel room mirror--dern, my forehead really is burnt--in room 654 of the Le Meridien President hotel in Dakar, Senegal. Mom and I arrived this morning from New York's JFK airport at approximately 6:15 a.m. Senegalese time, which puts us about 6 hours ahead of Alabama...I think.

The plane ride was absolutely ridiculous. I've never been spoiled so much in my whole life (my first time flying First Class). The power seats even made into beds. Talk about jaded...definitely not good preparation for what I was to see when we hit the ground. Dakar is noticeably a third-world country. But the people are wonderful! Everyone has been overly congenial, thus far.

Mom tore up my camera back home, so we're banking on using the one she gave to Damienne the last time she was here. Hopefully I'll have some pictures to post.

Oh yeah, I got to visit Dakar Academy today. The security guard was nice enough to let us in. No administration there today, just a bunch of boys practicing soccer. Shout out to Sarah and Katie...Sarah, maybe next time, Katie, might see you on Monday.

God bless,

JM

Sitting at Three Beans in good ole Fort Payne...

Howdy folks...

Wow, it has been a long time since I've updated my xanga. School, home, play, The Word---just too busy, I guess.

Well, Dad is doing increasingly better, praise God. Thanks for all your prayers!

I am currently still at home in Fort Payne recruiting for a company out of Akron, Ohio, called NexagenUSA. I'm on my way to financial freedom! Check out my site sometime-- www.transdermalfatloss.com

...hey, I've forgotten how much I like this thing...I may update more often...hmmm

God bless,

John

Just for the record...

I'm still here and going strong, and so is my earthly father, Roger. He is healed!

My soul, never laugh at sin’s fooleries, lest thou come to smile at sin itself. It is thine enemy, and thy Lord’s enemy—view it with detestation, for so only canst thou evidence the possession of holiness, without which no man can see the Lord.
